In Viale Dante Alighieri, there is also the SANCTUARY OF MADONNA DELLA STRADA, built in the 1960s on the remains of an ancient church dating back to the 14th century. In the district of San Giacomo, we find the CHURCH OF SAN GIACOMO, which got its name, according to popular belief, from the discovery in the place where the church currently stands of a painting of the Apostle Saint James the Greater.
